Tesco Kids Cereal Selection - Gluten free.

By 16:23 , , ,

I have had a very on off relationship with cereal for as long as I can remember, When I was a very small child (pre-school age) I couldn't live without my coco pops and every morning I would have to have a tea towel wrapped round me as most of it ended up on my lap rather than in my mouth!

Now older and more capable to eat (hopefully!) I have ditched the tea towel but I am still a fan of a choccie cereal when I feel like having a treat. So as I was browsing the gluten free isle in Tesco I found a variety pack, I had to give it a try.

The box is actually quite small but the packets inside are the same as you would find in a normal variety pack, this packaging actually made the product easier to store as it did not take up half as much as space as lots of mini boxes.

The pack contains 5 packs of cereals which included:

  • 1 x Honey Loops
  • 1 x Frosted Flakes
  • 1 x Choco Nut Pillows
  • 2 x Cocoa pops
The actual review of these will be quite short and sweet as they all tasted and looked IDENTICAL to their mainstream counterparts. However I had never had a cereal like the choco nut pillows before and I have to admit I did leave those to last as I wasn't too keen on the sound of them, but how wrong could I be!

The cereal was pillow shaped as described but inside was a filling very much like nutellla! YUMMY!  I really enjoyed these and I will most definitely not leave those until last again!

Just because they say they are a kids breakfast, do not be put off as I found the portion size to be prefect for me and I really enjoyed them. The box is £2 which makes it 40p a portion which I think is very good value for a gluten free breakfast.

I would love to know if you have tried any own brand food and been really impressed!
