It's November Snackly box time! This month there was no card in the box and from what I see no real theme, just great snacks! So without furthermore lets see what I got in my box!

Honeybuns Mini's - Milk Chocolate Brownie - RRP £1.05
You all know by now my love of Honeybuns, I have a few of their gifts on my Christmas list! The milk chocolate brownie is a classic and is an all time favourite of mine. Made with chocolate, coffee and almonds, what's not to love?

Quibbles - Sour Cream and Onion Cashews - RRP £0.90
Sour cream and onion is one of my favourite flavourings so seeing cashews coated in this flavouring is exciting! 179 calories for this whole pack, this is a great snack packed with protein!

Gnaw Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate - RRP £2.50 full Bar
A salted caramel Gnaw bar was in the box a few months ago but I wasn't actually too keen on the flavour, I think that there was a little too much salt, which made the caramel taste burnt, but my family liked it so it may be just me! I LOVE LOVE LOVE peanut butter, so I think that this is a great bar to give Gnaw a second go! The whole bar is 280 calories so if you wanted a treat evening I think you could get away with eating the whole thing!

Zoot Enduro - Cashew Supreme - RRP £1.50
Claiming to help maintain your energy, this bar looks very much like a Nakd bar in packaging and size. The ingredients are peanuts, cashews, dates, sultanas, sunflower seeds and vegetable glycerine, meaning they are quite clean! 160 calories and being free from gluten and dairy and being high fibre and a source of protein, it seems to be good all round!

Peace of Cake London - Abricotini - RRP £12 for full bag
Free from gluten, wheat, lactose and dairy, the only allergen this product seems to have is egg. I have no other way to describe these but as little soft cake like biscuits! I think I had these in a box before but the were snaffled off me before I had chance to try, so I will make sure little fingers won't reach these! On the website they seem to be layered with jam and stuck together much like a macaron.

Lastly we got another teapigs tea, this month I have got everyday brew!

It's that time again, where I share all the goodies that arrived in my snackly box. This month is a little different as the price has been reduced by £1 and we get one less snack. This is to make way for their new service which means you can choose to have your snack box weekly! I think I will still stick to monthly as I don't think I would get through them fast enough, but if there is a few of you sharing the box, I think it's perfect!

So what was in this months box?

Beech's - Anglesey Sea Salt Chocolate - RRP £1.75
I got one of these in a box a few months ago, but I saved it to take on holiday. It actually came home unopened so I now have two of these to dig into! A whole bar is 334 calories, so although looking large it isn't so much difference to a bar like a snickers.

Beyond Dark - Moments of Pleasure - RRP 95p
70% dark chocolate with a hint of orange, these chocolate drops are gluten, wheat, dairy and nut free. 189 calories for the whole bag is one portion size, I think I would split this down into two portions as that is a lot of dark chocolate in one go! I love orange chocolate so I can't wait to try these!

Kent & Fraser - Spicy Ginger Cookies - RRP £2.25 Full Box
We have had these in our box before, they were delicious! Good amount of ginger but not too spicy, so I am looking forward to having these again!

Sassy's Red Velvet - Cashew, Coconut and Pomegranate - RRP £2.25
Something completely new in the box, this 'cake' has no added sugar and is vegan, wheat and gluten free, as well as raw. The only ingredients are cashew nuts, dates, desiccated coconut, beetroot powder, raspberry powder and pomegranate powder. This makes me think that it's be very similar to a Nakd bar. The whole bar is 205 calories.

The Protein Ball Co. - Peanut Butter - RRP £1.69
Made out of dates, date syrup, dried egg white, peanuts and peanut butter, these make a very natural protein snack. This snack is gluten free, no dairy, vegetarian, wheat free, all natural, no GMO's, no soy and no added sugar. One pack contains 158 calories and has 20% of your daily intake of protein. I love peanut butter, so much so I have a jar in my desk, so these are so my kinda snack!

Teapigs - Apple & Cinnamon Tea - RRP £1.30
We also received a sample of a Teapigs tea, I have had the apple and cinnamon before and it is warm and autumnal, so perfect for the season! There is also a £5 discount code on the card!

Is it just me or is our British summer well and truly over? I know we tend to have a surge of warmer weather in September, but right now in August I feel we are in the depths of autumn. Feeling this way, I decided it was time to dip into my tea cupboard. Trying to find a warming tea flavour in the summer is a hard push, but I went for the Teapigs liquorice and peppermint tea, as the liquorice sounded like it would add warmth to the flavour.

My favourite aspect of a Teapigs tea, is the bag is that they use good quality temple bags. Not using the cheaper paper bags means that you don't get that horrendous papery taste that many teabags infuse into the tea, particularly when the flavours are lighter.

 Liquorice root and peppermint are the only ingredients in this teabag. I really enjoy the fact you can actually see this, so many tea bags are milled to almost powder and have too many unnecessary ingredients in, which ultimately makes them taste artificial. Teapigs always taste clean and fresh.

On first sip the tea didn't taste too dissimilar to the Teapigs peppermint tea that I love, but then suddenly there's a sweet kick. This sweet kick turns into a warmth that you feel in the back of your throat, and as odd as it sounds, as if its warming your mouth. I think I described it at the time as drinking a scarf, as it felt so cosy. Absolutely perfect for a cold day!

The sweeter notes surprised me, as when I think of liquorice, I think it is very herbal and not all that sweet. Although, I have only ever had natural liquorice and I haven't had any in years, so I may have to try some again!

Sat down with a good book and some Hotel Chocolat choccies, minty ones of course, this tea was perfect! Only trouble is it put me in the mood for Christmas shopping as I always start in late September! But I don't want to feel christmassy just yet!

Holidaying in Devon next week, I'm certainly taking my Teapigs with me as the UK weather is so unpredictable!

Summer is here... or it should be! Looking out my window today and having a lamb Sunday roast you would believe we are more in Christmasy winter seasons!

But yesterday was lovely and sunny, so we decided it would be a perfect time for some milkshakes and a BBQ. But by the time we had our BBQ then got round to making the shakes it got dark, but the weather was still warm enough to enjoy them!

For this milkshake you will need:

• Two or Three teapigs tea bags in the super fruit flavour (I used two.)
• 100ml boiling water. 
• Two or three Scoops of good quality vanilla ice cream. I used three scoops of Häagen-Dazs.

Simple! 

With this quick recipe all you need to do is boil your 100ml of water and let the Teapigs bags steep for 10-15 minutes. 

Then grab a blender, doesn't matter what you have, a Vitamix to a Argos own brand, anything will work perfectly for this recipe. For reference I used my Breville Blend-Active. 

Get your freshly steeped tea, this will be a bright vivid red, and pop it into your blender. Then add your scoops of ice cream of choice and blend! If it gets a little thick you can always add a dash of milk.

Tra Da! You are finished! All to do now is to pour it into a cute glass, or any glass for that matter but cute glasses always make my day, and drink! 

If you feel your milkshake needs to be a bit colder, pop in a few ice cubes as a finishing touch! If you were serving these at a party I may add a few coloured sprinkles or coloured sugar dusting to match the beautiful pastel purple!

As summer hits I have been looking for better quality, low calorie drinks that aren't packed with sweeteners, which are also fun! Teapigs is a brand I found relatively recently and when I saw they had a much wider range than the typical things you find in the shops, I knew they would be perfect for summer drinks!

Super fruits was the first one I knew I would love iced. I will be doing some recipes with the other teabags but I wanted to try them all just with water for now so I can taste the flavours first. To make this drink, all I did was make the tea like you would if you were to drink it hot in a smaller mug. Then I got my takeaway style tumbler, as it is large, but any large cup or tumbler will work. Fill this to the top with ice and then poor the hot tea over. The ice cubes should melt and the cup ends up perfectly full, you can always add a bit more water if needed. Tra Da.... Perfectly cold iced tea.

The flavours of this are very much like a blackcurrant or summer fruits squash when iced. Much fresher and slightly more tart in flavour, this tea is not as artificially sugary sweet like many fruity drinks. There is a blend of hibiscus, elderberry, blackcurrant, raisin, natural flavours and blueberry. From this you can imagine how fruity berry flavoured this tea is. Like my hot tea, I left the bag in the cup as I like the tea to get more flavoursome towards the bottom. I feel this tea gives me a natural energy boost too, so is great for a mid day/mid afternoon drink to get you through the day!

Teapigs sell some of the most unique teas I have ever come across. Some interesting teas have caught my eye in the past, my curiosity has made me pick them up to try. Unfortunately the majority I tried taste of the papery bag. This is where teapigs stand out to me. The tea tastes so fresh and not interfered by the bag as they use a silky material.

So lets see what I got!

Liquorice and Peppermint
This tea contains liquorice root and pure peppermint leaves. That's it! A simple blend but sounds like such as great twist on a classic. This tea is recommended to steep for at least three minutes. I am very excited to try this blend as I love peppermint tea, not only does it have health benefits and help when you have been accidentally glutend, but it tastes amazing too! Adding liquorice can only mean great things.

Apple and Cinnamon
From my initial thoughts and smelling this blend all I can think of is warm fires and autumn leaves. I know we have barely got into summer but this makes me so excited for the colder months, as everything you eat and drink turns into comfort food! This blend contains apple, cinnamon, apple pomace, roasted chicory root, citric acid, sweet blackberry leaves and natural flavourings. There is a bit more to this tea so I imagine it has some complex notes. Perfect for a cooler night to unwind.

Popcorn Tea
Flavoured green teas are very much in fashion at the moment. I have always been a great lover of green tea, so seeing so many new flavours does add some fun to an everyday drink! This is the most fitting flavour for me as popcorn is one of my favourite snacks. According to the box rice was originally added to green tea to make it go further in Japan. Recommended to steep for at least three minutes, this tea also has very little ingredients and is merely green tea and toasted rice.

Super Fruit
This tea smells amazing through the box, so fresh and fruity. This tea is packed full of super fruits so will be great as it's antioxidant rich. Hibiscus, elderberries, currants, blackcurrants, natural flavouring, cranberries and blueberries can be found in this tea. I think this would sound like the perfect tea to ice with a BBQ. We will have to see!

Everyday Brew
Although I am a lover of tea, 'typical' tea I have never been the biggest fan of. Granted I have only had cheap tea bags, so this may make all the difference. I do love iced tea though and on the back it does instruct you how to ice this blend perfectly. I think I may do this with some lemon and see how I get on.

Earl Grey Strong
Earl grey is such a classic tea. I love earl grey, I typically buy Twinnings as this is what I grew up with, but I am pleased I have got the Teapigs one to try as it is good to branch out, I may even enjoy it more. In this tea you will find, black tea, cornflowers, natural bergamot flavour with other natural flavourings and natural lime flavour. This too should be steeped for at least three minutes and can have a splash of milk added.

Sweet Ginger
Ginger I have always been told is good for when you feel sick, so for long car journeys this would be my best friend! I am going on holiday in the next couple of months and there is a six hour journey so I think I will pack this with me and give it a go then! This mix also has liquorice and cinnamon so sounds quite wintery to me and so throughly warming.

Chocolate & Mint
I have reviewed this product last week, if you haven't see you can find it here. This is such an interesting tea and is very refreshing. There is cocoa husk, peppermint and chocolate chips in this tea. Flavours in this tea are prodominetly peppermint but there is a warth and a chocolatey aftertaste.

I am looking forward to getting all these teas brewed and finding some new favourites! If there is another Teapigs flavour you have had and I need to try, I would love to know!

After showing you my haul of Teapigs goodies last week, I thought that I would review the most interesting tea I have ever heard of.

Chocolate and mint tea, whilst sounding amazing to me, it also sounded scary. After the initial excitement, I was then concerned that it would taste like a watery hot chocolate, I couldn't think of anything worse! I am pleased to say that this wasn't the case!

This smaller sampler pack retails at £1.30 on the website and contains two bags. I think that this is a fantastic idea. Everybody has a whole box of tea you don't like sitting in the cupboard for years until you feel that you can justify throwing it away as it's out of date!

This tea recommends steeping for 3-5 minutes. Like many I know I am one of those people who just keeps the bag in the cup. I quite enjoy starting a tea with a subtle flavour and it getting stronger towards the bottom. The ingredients in this tea are peppermint leaves, chocolate chips and cocoa husk. This is one of the things I love about teapigs, the tea is 100% natural. I know this one in particular has chocolate chips but I can read all the ingredients and know exactly what I am consuming.

Flavour wise this tea was not entirely what I was expecting, but in all honesty I wasn't sure what I was expecting. It is very much like your typical peppermint tea, there is a light twist to it however. I wouldn't say that it tastes straight up of chocolate, but it does give the peppermint a warmth and richness to it. There is a chocolately minty aftertaste you have in your mouth when drinking this tea, much like you have after eating a mint Magum or After Eight.

I really enjoy this tea and gives you all the benefits of mint tea with a bit of a difference, I have seen there is liquorice one too, which I think will be well worth a try!

Yesterday I received a surprise parcel which James had ordered to be delivered to my office. The box has the Teapigs logo printed all over it, which of course made me extremely excited as I loved the tea I have had the last two Tuesdays in Giraffe.

I opened the box and inside was a beautiful gift bag with a wide Teapigs ribbon running the whole way around and secured in a bow. Logo covered tissue paper concealed what was inside, I just had to open it to find out what was in there.

I had an inkling that peppermint tea might be in the gift bag, after heavy hinting to James, but I was surprised to find a couple more items which I never would have thought he'd find or choose. These are possibly even better than the tea!

The first thing I found in the box was the 15 bag pack of peppermint tea that I thought I might find. This natural leaf tea is by far the best peppermint tea that I have ever tried. Once I have finished getting through the bulk of tea bags I bought from Holland and Barratt, I don't think I will have anything other than Teapigs. I have been well and truly converted!

I then saw a box of two tea bags which were the chocolate and mint flavour. Mint choc chip ice-cream is my all time favourite and Costa's summer special mint choc chip cooler is amazing. So this tea is completely up my street. The ingredients in this tea bag are: cocoa husk, peppermint and chocolate chips. I cannot wait to try this as I think it will be a very minty hot chocolate style tea!

The last item in the gift bag was hidden in a box. Inside this box I found the most delicate glass cup and saucer, 'Teapigs' is printed onto the base of the cup. I am a mug addict and I have at least 40 in my collection. I do have a couple of glass cups already but none like this, and although I love them I do not actually own a glass cup and saucer! This mug is perfect as I love watching the teabag infuse through the glass, there is something oddly therapeutic about it!

This package was a complete surprise and brightened up what otherwise was a pretty grotty Monday morning!
